What a fun party! Thanks Janet, Joe, Audrey's brother, and everyone else who helped. I was only able to make it down for a few minutes, but the food was good, and everyone looked like they were having a good time. I have pics of three brave Karaoke-ers (Holly, Brad's son, and Joe's son)- wish I had been there to hear it all! Traci Carter does a GREAT JT impression singing "Bringin' Sexy Back"- you should ALL make it a point to ask her to sing for you! ;) Have a good Christmas season- and be very careful on the snowy roads!!! :) -Dawney
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my 4th floor friends. I havent talked to any of you for so long I thought I'de drop you all a line. I hope you are all doing well and not suffering to much from this economic downturn. As for me it has been a busy year. As many of you know, last year Joel went to work in New Mexico. We decided while he was gone to sell our house. To make a long story short we sold it just in time before the housing market fell. In July we finally found a home that suited us to a tee. Well..... almost, Let's just say we had to tear down everything except the sheetrock to make it livable. We bought the house from a gentelman who was going through a nasty divorce and living here with his 3 teenage sons, it was nasty. He had to get rid of the house or loose it. We got a steal, as much as I hate to admit it we really did kick him while he was down. And come to find out, I guess his ex wife is an RN there at the hospital LOL!!! Anyway my beautiful new house is in Levan just 10 miles south of Nephi. We live on the east side of town right at the base of the mountains, It's beautiful. The deer are starting to come out by the hundreds. I have not seen any elk yet but they will come in time. Hope you are all doing well and you have a Happy Holiday and hope to hear from you soon.
I just realized that the floor party is today- and I never even mentioned it on the blog- not even ONCE! I suck. I am so sorry! So- go! Have fun, and enjoy chatting with friends without the interruption of pesky work! ;) I hope to see you all there, and I hope to have pic at a later date!
So, as I am sitting here discussing the future with Brittany she remindes me AGAIN of why I never really want to leave this place ("it's just a napkin").... Mr.****** (thanks Hippa) in room E4** has an... well... shall we say... interesting name- that we cannot pronounce. So, what's a kid to do?? That's right- you re-name him!!!!
Welcome Mr. Fu Manchu Pat Benetar to the 4th floor!!!!!
October is gone and with it another Halloween. I hope that everyone had a fun time in whatever you were doing! Thanks to those who dressed up. It always makes the day a little more fun. I am among those who did not, but I promise I always thing..."I should dress up this year.." I'm just not good on the follow through. I just want to give a specific "thank you" shout out to our fearless leader, Janet for sending me these pics- we all love to see them! ;) I wish you all a wonderful November as well. Happy Thanksgiving- I hope that you each have the chance to spend some quality time with your loved ones this time of year! -Dawney

(I pulled this from the Monday mail, but felt that it was worth repeating!!:) ) CONGRATULATIONS Lisa Rollins for getting 3:53 in the St. George Marathon! Rain made the course MISERABLE ! she is INCREDIBLE! Way to go Lisa.
Some of our peeps from the floor (Lisa, Lisa's Dad, Nate, LeAnn, Harry, someone from the 5th floor, and Lisa's puppies-did I forget anyone??-) hiked Timp last month. They almost got to the summet, but it started snowing so they turned back. There are some great pics here. Great job guys! It looks beautiful.... and a little cold. :) I'm under the impression that this is something that is going to be an anual event for our floor- so keep it in mind for next year!
I love October. It's my favorite month of the whole year, and it always seems to be the shortest...hmm.. October has 31 days and seems the shortest, but February only has 28 (the occasional 29th), but drags on like no ones business. What's up with that? I love that the air starts to carry a crisp snap to it along with the smell of fireplaces being used- the leaves are have began changing and you start to need to carry a jacket. The heater in the car is on in the morning, and maybe a bit late at night, but it's still okay (at least the beginning of the month) to roll down the window during the day. I think my favorite part is driving through a bunch of fallen, dried leaves on the road and hearing that crinkling sound. :)*sigh* I need to head up the canyon before it's all gone. And when it's all done what do we get??? HALLOWEEN!!! So.. I hope you are all enjoying your fall, and I just wanted to let you all know that we have a great floor with wonderful people working here. Oh- and a big thanks to those who have been so great at allowing their blogs to be linked. It has been so much fun to read them all and have a good laugh with all of you! -Dawney
I am not sure that everyone is aware of Dr. Horrible's (that's Horrible with 2 r's ha ha ha) Sing Along Blog, but you should be. Pretty funny entertainment here folks. If you don't like it, I'm sorry that it's not your cup of tea. www.drhorrible.com would be the stie. It currently has 3 acts, and they are working on the 4th. It was created by Joss Whedon (who did Buffy, Angel, and Serenity among other projects) during the writers strike with his brothers I think, and some of his little actor buddies. Happy watching! -D
